Note 07 · Finishing

Review the finished visit

A small review is most useful when it follows an ordinary reader's path.

Choose a concrete task

Begin with a question such as finding an article or returning to a saved page. Follow the route without relying on knowledge of how the page was built. Record the place where the words or arrangement made the next step unclear.

Check a few conditions

Try a narrow window, keyboard navigation and a missing-page address. These checks reveal different parts of the visit. Keep their results distinct so a working menu does not become a claim that every part of the site works.

Make one useful correction

Fix the issue that most directly interrupted the chosen task, then try that route again. A modest review should leave a clearer result and a repeatable check, rather than an unlimited list of possible improvements.
